Dismantling structural racism will require seismic shifts in perception, policies, and practices. As in much of the nation, the fault lines of segregation are still deeply etched in Boston, but it is a majority BIPOC city with the resources and--increasingly--the will to accelerate lasting change.
To transform the way things are, people need to see themselves in this future, to know they are seen, heard, and valued. When we make our case for social and economic justice, we need to amplify our truth through stats and studies, and our calls for equity and healing must cultivate networks of support that are both broad and deep.
Every day, every week of the year, we’re looking for ways to connect people across traditional divides, unite them in common cause, and bring joy and love to the work.
